Websites Help Washington, DC Home Buyers Find the Right Neighborhood

Start your property search with the website Once logged on the site, choose a neighborhood or zip code, like American University Park or Takoma Park Maryland. Just type in the neighborhood or zip code and the visitor is sent to the area. You can then choose a satellite view or street map. Trulia has a heat map that breaks down various neighborhoods in DC, MD and VA and shows how red (hot) or green (cold) a neighborhood is based on prices, sales or popularity of Trulia users. Visitors using the heat map can click on the map to see homes listed for sale. Visitors can also ask other users questions about the various neighborhoods.

If you would like to know the value of your house or learn how much a neighbor's house is worth, then go to Zillow will also estimate the value of every house on your street. will give visitors a view of roofs, backyards, and sides of houses. will give the visitor a 360 degree street level view in some neighborhoods in DC, Maryland and VA.
